RESPONDING TO RIDICULE
(Nehemiah 4:1-6)
 
Central Idea: When faced with scorn, take it to the Lord.
 
Purpose: To encourage believers to take the ridicule to the Lord while continuing to pursue renewal.
  1. When faced with scorn (4:1-3)
    1. The source of scorn is anger (4:1)
    2. The pattern of scorn is predictable (4:2-3)
  2. Take it to the Lord (4:4-6)
    1. Thou shalt remember thy resource (4:4a)
    2. Thou shalt recognize the attack (4:4b-5).
    3. Thou shalt retaliate not (4:6).
